Kids react to Old Computers

iNothing

I have two sons (21&20 now) of my own and they were never as 'dramatic' as that.

Depends on the parents I think

I must say I was surprised they couldn't turn it on. I remember hooking up a playstation 1 all by myself when I was like 6 or 7 when it was released - no fucking way could these kids have done it. They do seem a tad dumb.

This is what I think of Pre-Ordering video games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wp98SH3vW2Y

"old tech education/tech history" should be part of school. But then it might take the fun away... :D

Anyways, that blonde kid with blue shirt, he is a pro gamer, he just doesn't know it yet! I like him and his attitude towards old tech! :)

who cares...

LOL, kids don't even now command prompts. Today's technology makes it brain dead for anyone to use a computer, kind of takes the fun out of how it use to be, you now, actually using your brain to learn :D

why is it funny that they don't know command prompts? they have never had to use one in their entire life, why would they know them.

You answered your own question.

And a quote from my first post, to add to your own answer "Today's technology makes it brain dead for anyone to use a computer, kind of takes the fun out of how it use to be, you now, actually using your brain to learn :D"

I still don't see why it is funny the kids don't know commands. Also, I was abit confused by your first post because your spelt "know" wrong.

No offense, but I can tell you honestly would not get it even if i made a long drawn out diagram as to why it's funny some young people do not know command prompts, oh look there, I spelt "know" right this time lol, never knew it would be so hard for someone to add the "K' in their head if a word was misspelled so they could put the sentence together.

In other words, on the correcting my spelling, I never knew we were in a spelling bee contest.Next you will be telling me we are in grammar school lol :D

Learning command prompts and coding allows you to expand your mind when troubleshooting issues. It also helps you understand other OS's such as Linux SUSE better. Expanding the mind is actually a good thing and regardless of how boring it might be to teach someone command prompts, its still quit useful in today's OS's as well.

no, because you said " you now....." i thought you were actually speaking about the present tense, thats why I didnt understand what you meant, for all I know English isn't your first language and you just wrote the wrong thing. I wasn't correcting you to be a smart arse, I actually thought you were speaking about something else.

Awe, my bad then, I really did not look at it that way. yeah it was just a misspelled word, I apologize for the confusion.
