Freakin Cant decide what to upgrade!!

I'm guessing you have never had an ssd in your computer it makes a lot of difference and they are getting extremely cheap.

There is no point to them for the average user.  They have certain death and they are a rip off in terms of price per megabyte plus big deal you get a faster boot time.  LOL Well whoopee ****!  Seriously I can think a kajillion things in this world to spend money on that would be a better purchase than buying an SSD.

It makes a big difference. Do you have an SSD?

It doesn't make a big difference to the average user and gamer.  There are examples where it can make a huge difference but to the majority the answer is NO.

Uh..how? He said the SSD is much faster.

You've clearly never used one.

Well you have a potato so it doesnt really matter...

I'd get an SSD for sure. The highest capacity you feel comfortable with. It will pretty much always feel fast until they come out with substantially faster ones.

Honestly an SSD will make your computer feel much, much better. A higher speed HDD won't be as noticeable.

Also you shouldn't bash the Green WD drives...you bought a low performance product ;) It's more meant for reliable, low energy storage.

You said a few posts back that waiting a year would provide better results. That will always be true. Don't pay attention to future tech, just go for what's out now, and what you want to improve now.

It doesn't make a big difference to the average user and gamer.  There are examples where it can make a huge difference but to the majority the answer is NO.

So the average user doesn't boot their computer? Or open programs? I notice the difference every single time I use my computer. Especially when I try using my dad's HDD based system.

So you don't? Then don't talk about it to me.

I know the performance of an SSD.  I know the negatives of having one though too so don't be a smart ***.  Also in my situation I don't shut down my pc 99.9% of the time.  I don't have to.  No electricity to pay.  Also I am not going to pay for such little capacity and I sure as heck am not going to pay for a tech that has a definite death coming to it.

OP buy that controller you talked about.  There are games on pc that are better played with a controller but I would recommend you go with a wired one as most recommend that.

Also not sure if you mentioned the monitor you have.  Do you need an upgrade there?

Put BF4 on an SSD, you will notice something. SSDs are going to die? LOL not even.

The average user doesn't need one.

The average user is someone like my mum she uses her PC for email and occasionally browsing the web she turned on my PC and used it for 10 minutes she was amazed at how fast things opened and now she actually wants an SSD. If you gave the "average consumer" a PC with and without an SSD I know for a fact they would choose the one with an SSD even if they did not know it had one or what it was, do you know why? because its faster and they need to get stuff done quickly.

Do the ssd for sure. One of those $50 120gb ones are better than none, get something high end if you can swing it though. Next, deff upgrade to the nicest mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers, ect you can afford. Do the little things that make your experience better.

I am not wrong about many of the statements I made about ssd drives.  Go back and read some of what was said.  As for the Habs the Devils have more Stanley Cup appearances and wins than Montreal since the team I love became the franchise known as the New Jersey Devils.  Have a nice day.
