I wanna try and reprogram this but i don't even knwo what it is

So i bought this cheap toy gun in china and i had the idea to repurpose it to something else so i opened it up and say this board??? I wanna try and reproggram it to play a specific sound and display a specific image but i have no idea on what this is and what to do any ideas

Not gonna happen; it most certainly has a rudimentary SoC that doesn’t have any debug/programming pins.

Not to mention they covered the thing in epoxy which would probably make it an absolute bitch to figure out what it actually was... assuming they didn't also scrub off all the markings.

It's most likely a factory programmed or OTP (one time programmable) 4 bit or 8 bit microcontroller with a very basic audio amplifier circuit built in, for the speaker. 

 

It would be easier to just get an arduino or a 10-16 pin PIC  and write the code yourself ... after all it seems it's just two buttons, one output and speaker (a built in DAC will do it and a transistor will do it)
