It's been said before, but you need an EU store

BillieBobThe3rd

As per the title... Your prices are horrendous, and the shipping costs are outrageous.

You might think that they are reasonable, but you are actually ripping people off. Especially, when they live outside of North America.

You, "invest" so much on development of your fairly average products, yet you will not spend a penny to expand your retail reach.

I think Nick needs to buck up his ideas, because you guys don't understand, and clearly don't care, about anywhere outside of Canada and the US.

I'm sorry, but your products are simply not worth the expenditure, if you're outside NA.

You could easily ditch LTX and invest that money into an EU distribution service (where you would make even more money than LTX ever could). You won't, though... Because of sheer ego and ignorance. Again, Nick needs to educate himself.

If you listened to wan show, you'd know that: 1) they are working on an agreement with a retailer in the EU, and 2) your take is total garbage.

I might be experienced, but I'm human and I do make mistakes. Expand for common PC building advice, a short bio and a list of my components and other tech. I edit my messages after sending them alot, please refresh before posting your reply. Please try to be clear and specific, you'll get a better answer. Please remember to mark solutions once you have the information you need.

Common build advice: 1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticably improve performance past 240mm.

A lot of youtubers have stores that are only really offering sensible shipping in their country, because believe it or not, they aren't massive retailers.

Linus isn't Amazon, I think it's good he's managed to develop anything and get it sold given the challenges in the modern retail world.

I'll remember this the next time I'm ordering something from EK Waterblocks in Slovenia... Gee they must really hate their customers here in North America... why don't they just stop doing what they are doing currently and open a NA location? I'm getting sick of being charged extra for all the shipping and duties. Me me me me... wahhh

It's not ripping people off. They are clear about the shipping and VAT costs. If you don't like them, don't pay for them.

The entitlement of Europeans when talking about this issue is palpable. And it happens over and over again.

If you don't like the price, don't purchase. Simple as.

As someone who lives in Eastern Europe, I agree. The taxes have nothing to do with LTT, the taxes are outside LTT's control (others have complained about taxes as well). The shipping prices, to me, are somewhat middle ground, compared to other retailers from Canada and from the U.S. Not cheap, but light years away from being outrageous as the OP states. I've had my fair share of complaints in regards to shipping, but that was because of how shipping was handled by Wizmo and the poor choice of couriers. I'm certain that it will be mitigated, eventually.

As for the products, the OP states, that they are "fairly average" and their "prices are horrendous". Why bother with all this then... It is clear, that what LTT Store has to offer does not rise to the level of excellence that the OP is looking for, therefore all this ranting is entirely irrelevant and unnecessary in my opinion.

The level of butt hurtery (sic) and faux outrage on this post, is ridiculous. Can you tell me your a Linus superfan, without telling me you are a Linus superfan. Admin, feel free to delete this debacle of an exchange. I'm sorry, but this Forum is full of Linus loving gatekeepers, that cannot stand any sort of criticism of LMG, and therefore automatically shut down any discussion that is critical in any way.

Your post was arrogant and rude. You aren't aware of the latest developments in this area from WAN show. And you clearly haven't even bothered to read any of the discussion of this issue the many other times it's come up, where people have attempted to explain why things are not as simple as "just set up in the EU how hard can it be lol 4head." Then you insult anybody who replies.

Yeah, fully agree the mods should just delete this thread because there doesn't seem to have ever been any intent on your part to have a productive conversation.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

At the behest of the Op [see above comment] the topic is locked.

Additonly topic offers no constructive discussion to add positively to the community.  We strongly encourage criticism and feedback of LMG but not at the expense of creating a disruptive environment in the process. If you want offer criticism and include avenues of improvements then it is welcomed in strides. But posting to just bitch and moan with nothing to offer is not helpful nor insightful.
