i thought there were no samples send out by nvidia of this product,

it may be from someone inside nvidia

Maybe or someone in the factory that is making these GPU's stole a few. How else do early released GPU's get sent out without Nvidia's knowledge.

I thought Nvidia said they are abandoning the Titan Z? as IT WAS delayed when the 295X2 came out as it could not beat its "scores"... then i heard they just junked the idea (I can only assume that they could not get enough performance out of it to warrent the $1500 more for the Titan Z than the 295x2)?

12GB though...

I'm not a fan of dual GPUs, I'd rather have 2 single GPUs in sli or crossfire, the 12gb would be great.

 

I wish with sli or crossfire they'd combine everything into a super card, now I'm thinking of transformers...

 

I'm getting 2 titan blacks this summer and I'll be set for quite awhile even to my jump to x99 in 2016 as I rather wait for broadwell-e and just go with a z97 board until then.

It would be interesting if Nvidia or AMD came out with a card that had 4 GPU's on a graphics card. It would be stupid long and would require 2 PCI lanes but I think it would be doable. It would also have bad compatibility with some motherboard although you could use PCI extension connectors.
