There is a delay of eoc getting the stats from f@h. I don't know if that is because of the cache of f@h. What I usually see is that units that I have submitted 30 min or less before the 3 hour mark are added in the next partial.

This happens a lot with EOC tbh, it's very common

Yeah pretty common, during past events there have been many times where no-one got anything recorded for an update or three, then it all bunches up in one

In the fixing of borked 1080:

Have you ever seen this happen?

If the reporting is true, it would explain the code 43 errors.

Nvflash got the middle fields populated with some data instead of nothing, so less dead than before? (Video out still doesn't work, but it now recognizes a device is connected)

BIOS versions are reporting as same?

EDIT: so it works as long as the machine doesn't restart (still no video output, but it folds?)

EDIT2: it does not fold.

Curious to see how this changes when I get a full month into folding. This is just my desktop with a 3070 and both monitors (which I keep off unless I am on the PC).

For those that care, this is at 9 cents per kWh.

Been running as an experiment for the last week or so.  This is mixed with gaming and some on/off time on a 3060 Ti (includes the attached monitors for the station).  Put the cost in as $0.13/kWh but should really come out to closer to $0.12/kWh (it's a blended rate based on usage over 60 days)

How does that even happen?

Poor insulation thickness and material, hot case, high continuous power draw, sometimes imbalance across wires causing failure that induces the rest to fail. Conductor area isn't actually where it's all at, it matters but so does the insulation, quite a lot actually. Even if the rating wasn't exceeded poor insulation can get damaged then you have a big problem.

I would like to say it's a device failure but the system is working so realistically it's not that.

I'd wager its possibly the plug itself that heated up and that heat radiated out to the wires.  But its kinda bonkers it ever got that hot, but then it does happen on rare occasions.  Its why it blows my mind they actually went smaller with 12VHWPR as anyone could have foreseen its going to increase the occurrence of this, even if its still technically rare.

I mean if it was common then surely PSU manufacturers would have started temperature monitoring the sockets by now to cut off the power when it gets too hot.

Yep, certainly could be the plugs, cheap contacts that lose good contact and a lot of heat will happen. Better insulation wouldn't have failed so badly as that though, like wow that's really bad.

When you hold the same gage wire of different qualities you can really tell the difference from the insulation, plus the rating is often actually different. I know I always gladly pay more for better but I'm also using it in applications far more serious so I'm more than happy to go well over what is required to my own peace of mind.

Even though my batteries to my UPS are in conduit and not in any danger I went with outdoor armored cables typically used in RV's and other DC installations where physical protection matters.

My battery string is what I would approximate between 50% to 70% of this, mine are continuous high power output rated type and 120Ah each, mine are also in an even higher nominal voltage configuration of 76V (6 x 4 = 24 total).
