just google up for arguments, and pick what you're most interested at

pretty much the same thing, but in most cases imo it's a waste of time, concluding nothing, though I can somewhat understand, the main reason on why I do write here is because I feel lonely lol

you might have luck going in a book shop or library, but if it's an universitary libraries, expect to be exploited by grade whores

though dunno after a while that I dealt with people they kinda lose their individuality? by demographic target you can suppose how they are dunno if I'm explaining myself

Those are all things you'd do online.  I can waste several lifetimes arguing online pointlessly.

The people I want to go drinking with every weekend are the people who will hear out my opinions and then reframe the data and play devil's advocate--in order to get me to consider other ways of interpreting the data.  That helps me keep my mind open and not reflexively conclude that there is (not necessarily) only 1 correct way to interpret something.

How can I possibly go out in public, pub-crawling or whatnot--if there's always a constant risk something is going to end up online?  That's not an enjoyable scenario.  That's just gambling with your future.

As a generalized weirdo it’s ezpz, entirely separate the real world and any online attributes, and even then keep groups of people separate and with differing info about yourself.

The people I know from work know an entirely different person than my family does and they know an entirely different person than casual friends.

Online none of my information lines up. I don’t use conventional social media for conventional reasons, the most generic one I have is a Twitter where I talk about furry shit and computer parts, but otherwise that front isn’t directly relatable to a real person either.

I picked up on all of this early before it was casual paranoia as people put more and more of their information online, when I was a teenager stealing video game accounts to sell virtual items and wealth for real money. It is really easy to figure out people’s login credentials or convince customer support you’re somebody else if you know enough about another person.

It’s also terrifying how much you can find out about people who are careless online. There are entire businesses centered around collecting user data and compiling it into one cohesive profile for a real person, at which point they sell it. Think personal background check services online. Building up an info pool on a high value account on Roblox or something was easy, if a person would slip up in a few different small ways by revealing the following info:

-a real first and last name

-a generalized location like a state or region

-any email address or username across multiple websites

You can then pinpoint exactly who that person is and for like 5$ pull a full report on every detail they ever put online.

For various sums of money more you can find where their accounts used to be, similar usernames or such, including sites where user info was compromised.

You can kinda see where that is going.

But generally speaking people who didn’t have a large online presence and kept all their info spread apart and differentiated were extremely hard to pinpoint. All those little basic tips that websites give these days do matter.

Dont use your real name, don’t use the same username anywhere, don’t use the same password anywhere. If you do that anywhere it better not be important or it better not be the real you because it’s trivial to start fitting together accounts like puzzle pieces.

All of this is virtually irrelevant.  You can't stop the bystander from filming you or recording what you're saying in a conversation to someone else--when it's in a public setting.  Even if your circle of trust is implicit--people around them still suck.

But thanks for testifying about all your illicit activities.

No, but you can stop them from attributing that with a person.

I no longer believe that, seeing as how quickly people are tracked down--even incorrectly.  Like that poor college professor mistakenly identified as being part of the Charlottesville march.  Or everyone in the Capitol on Jan 6th.

Too many cameras.  Too many eyes.  Too much metadata.  Too much GPS tracking.

Facebook has become a place full of broke boomers that do complaining about x stuff

meanwhile Instagram has become the new Tumblr with borderline porn alike content?

TikTok pretty much the same as instagram but with underage people?

Yes!

A struggle I have, is (like so many of us) not feeling like there's enough time for everything. I'm not a busy person per se (as far as organized activities etc) but I value my down time. And to try and keep up on socializing, gaming, reading, shows and movies, it feels like I'm always "behind" in something. (something I just need to get over I guess)

I also was historically the glue of my social groups. If I wasn't involved, nothing happened. As time went on I'd get frustrated being the only one who seemed to be putting in the effort. But now these days, almost paradoxically, when plans are made I'm happy, but by the time the day comes, I find myself hoping they get cancelled because I just want to be home relaxing.

Of course, if I go through with the plans, I always have a good time, and am glad I did it. But it's a cycle of frustration nonetheless.

all informations are on the website, many are just illiterates that do not understand what there is even written on

they do not just write a text, but they want a call, so you stay at the phone like if I was a call center, and they make me waste time

I only use Instagram for looking at females, and by that, I mean it. No joke there. I follow couple females, am followed by some, and view others. I could spice it up with some males and other content like cars in between. In fact, I've been blocked by several girls because of doing it this way... but

some believe I am a horny predator, what I believe is that, human beings use social networking primarily for interacting with their opposite gender - and then they multiply, they multiply up until their Instagram home pages can no longer take more posts. Which takes us to this very point of me using it right. 😎

I get some tickets for a band

I didn't check that they also have bonus bands

so I need to waste 2 hours of my time to listen bonus bands that I don't like just to see the band that I like

I could understand something like this in 80s where internet wasn't widely avaible, now I can't, I can check on the net if I like them or not, maybe I'm not the target demographic, other people might discover new stuff, but yeah fuck me

This has been a common norm since the dawn of modern rock music. Getting Los Lobos before Joe Cocker isn't something you should be surprised about, even different kinds of musicians open a show for others all the time.

Hard to tell.  I also struggle to find people who are intellectually stimulating.  I can be cordial and friendly to most everyone.  But the people I want to spend time with are people who challenge me intellectually.  People I can debate ideas with.  People who actually *gasp* have read books.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Honestly, having an interesting debate has been more of a fantasy/fiction than a realistic possibility lately.

You're probably looking at it in the wrong places. Find yourself somewhere like a mom & pop guitar store and I'm sure you would have interesting debates every time you enter there. 🙂

I think they mostly are trying to gauge whether someone will be there long enough to justify the expense of training them and giving them experience enough to perform quality work.  It is kinda dumb.  But then again, when you expect 50% turnover in 6 months--that's kinda how it goes.

And don't even get me started on wages going backwards.  All of a sudden, NOBODY is talking about $15/hr.  Like it's a known quantity that inflation has pretty much mandated that anything lower is not going to garner employees.

$15/hr? you lucky american! (I'm just half way kidding)

here you should be considered lucky if you can get 500€ monthly with 14 hours a day no holidays, no pension and without contract!

then if they can't find staff it's always about younger generation or migrants who don't like to work, or about the support income for poors of 300€ who provides more than what they offer

and living costs are no way to be low, the lowest official income is about 1k monthly

It's all about perspective.  People pay more in taxes monthly here than you would believe.  And Brandon hasn't improved the situation any.  I'd rather pay $200 more a month in taxes than $400 more per month for all the recurring expenses I have (utilities, petrol, food, etc).

That might as well be the case, I admit. To be fair, I am so unmotivated that I don't even look that hard anymore, so that also contributes 🙂

The janky iPod battery brought the Zune back to life

and after that the original battery started taking a charge and stopped power looping

My mom got this back when the Zune was brand new using Microsoft live games points, and it’s basically a time capsule of our family pc circa 2007

thousands of songs, photos, etc
