Closing in on [H] on Einstein. I also have 170 tasks left pending (170 * 3465) so I should have atleast 500k points coming in before the end if everything goes well.

 

Technically, if we average out that I’m conservatively getting 2 tasks done every 6 minutes of the last 19 hrs, we can approximate another 1.3m points that I’ll get on top of my 500k — assuming they get validated in time.

I also still have ~90 pending and today is a holiday here, which means that electricity is cheaper, so I can also do some more.

Edit: Now they dropped a bit in throughput and we got more. Now it's only 2.5h. So We still got this!

I already edited my post, but I thought we are way faster than 9 hours. We are only 3m behind and last hour we beat them by over 1m points/h

It fluctuates a lot. Seriously proud of everyone pushing through all the way to the end. Reminds me of cross-country IRL 🥰

Imagine a new XEON Phi CPU but using just the newest E cores... how many could you fit on a modern intel package I wonder

Maybe, but do you really want it postulating about nuclear reactions on your floor?  Then again, it could relatively create more energy that way.

So a E core takes up around 1/4 the space of a P core, so you could get 224 cores. Not although E cores are not hyperthreaded as standard it would probably be possible to hyperthread them with a little work.
