It's actually pretty easy (assuming you have snap ring pliers), and they still sound good. At the very least, you can resell the rest of the iPod to someone who wants to rebuild one. I think the platters in the Seagate drives were glass. I have a dead iPod MicroDrive that sounds like a maraca. I sold my soul for ProSupport. Posted February 22, 2023 It took me 9 minutes into the video to realise that those weren't googly eyes on the display in the background. I had one on my first trip to NZ in 2007, but it failed on me; been CF and SD cards ever since for me. (I don't have a camera that takes CF Express yet). Posted July 29, 2023 I have one. The 1GB IBM. I got it for a camera. It was MUCH cheaper than solid state. I also had a real small, it might have been under a meg, solid state. Wanted to hold more pictures and solid state cost thousands. Went to the web site www.ibm.com/storage/microdrive, but it redirected to www.ibm.com/storage. Ahh the good old days.
