Age when you got your first PC

Just wanted to know when you got your first PC. I built one for my parents when I was 12, 2 months ago (sorry if it sounds like I'm bragging, but I'm not).

got an old office laptop (I think HP) from my father at about an age of...

mum says 10 but I am sure it was earlier (and of course not selfbuilt :P)

played things like Age of empires or H. A. V. E. A. N. I. C. E. D. A. Y. or whatever that racing game with guns was called.

Edit: so that was at least 7 years ago.

I got a really old dell from my dad at like 7, then a slight less old Acer a year later, which we had to bolt the display back onto a few times, from my sister,  then I finally got a new laptop (Acer Aspire E something), which wasn't a hand me down at like 9 which I had for 3 years, then I got a refurbished Lenovo u530 (which I still use) and I built a gaming computer at 12 (a few months ago).

Very first PC was when  I was 10.  Got a second prebuilt when I was around 13 or so that had a much better video card in it.

Didn't build my first PC until I was 16 though.

It had a Q6600 and an ATI 4850.

when i was younger, im only 25 now, But i went down the line of electronics, Engineering and robotics then welding, fabrication and metal work, My first job was hand soldering processors on to computer motherboards with a soldering iron and a magnifying glass, then the company i worked for brought a machine to do the job when i was 17, programming was done in machine code, binary 01000100101001010 and hexadecimal, Logic gates. and code which is now obsolete.

But my point is i had to co-interview fresh faced uni students who had many degrees in all these amazing qualifications, software side there better at the new stuff. but technology is becoming ever more assessable, parts are designed to be very functional and easy to use, almost plug and play. The moral of this story is no ones better than anyone else just because they built a computer when they were the youngest, especially at a time were its actually possible to build them cheaply, second moral, listen to your elders ;).

12(2 years ago), one for my grandma. I had to go there every week so I told her that I could built her computer. Of course this wasn't gonna be a PC for basic use but for gaming. She didn't knew shit about computers so I told her 500 euros was a good price. She bought all the parts and I put it together(I have to say that it was pretty easy). Nowadays I'm repairing iPhone screens, about the same thing as building a PC but more precise. I make $20 every screen I replace what takes about an hour. It's a lot more my friends make at the supermarket. :)
