They're looking for the most gullible marks. It's like all of the spelling mistakes in old-school scammer spam emails, intentionally putting in things that should be red flags to weed out anybody with a modicum of sense.

It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. LMG will never contact you via YouTube or other social media unless specifically stated in some competition rules/info. All contacts are made with email and only if you have have actually participated.

 

This applies to others as well. Unless you make first entry/contact, any contact made, either by DMs, email or publicly, should be taken with huge suspicion. They will never announce selection/winner publicly before winner has actually been contacted and agreed their names to be published.

 

E: Merged two threads about same thing. Thinking if we need pinned megathread with title "Is this scam" and only post there is "yes".
