I cleaned my loop with keurig descaling solution

So I was given the idea on a different forum but I would like to share my results since it worked so well, my loop hasn’t been cleaned in a year and I run distilled water plus mayhems x1 clear. So I added about 3/4 of a bottle of the keurig cleaner which is mostly citric acid and ram my loop for about an hour. The Timelapse video is of the first 8 minutes. After the hour I drained the loop and flushed with about 2 gal of distilled water. It saved me the chore of having to take this gpu block apart.

The algae got destroyed and swept away within the first 10 seconds of running the loop, it seems almost too good to be true. I got the stuff at Walmart for 6-7$ a bottle

No it’s a clear liquid, the scratches are just the bubbles rushing through the loop, it looks like there’s pitting but those are all just micro bubbles

That’s because it’s not algae… just residual coating from ingredients in the  X1, such as anti-corrosives. Given you just flushed through a corrosive agents, sure the coating goes away very wuickly.

It's 12% citric acid according to the MSDS.  You can just buy citric acid in powdered form and make your own since it's a food ingredient.

I've used phosphoric acid because that's what Mayhem Blitz Part 1 is.   https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VX1XDE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1   diluted 50% distilled water is 25% phosphoric acid.   Never tried it in a whole loop assembly though but god damn did it shine up nickel blocks.
