3D printer printing midair (at ~5mm)

Was gifted a 3d printer by a friend, turned it on and attempted a basic gcube print after leveling, it is the Creality Ender 3 Pro with a few modifications that I’m unfamiliar with as I’m fairly new to 3d printing, however the BLtouch module has been acting up, and an error code flashes when homing z “Endstops Z”. I would be appreciative to any help or suggestions and can give more information if necessary.
