Dry Ice [Watercooled Define R4/White Merlin SM8/H440 (Never Ending)]

Maybe you could do some cable braiding or isn't there enough place to do so? Or do you like the way it looks now?

Resolution is a word. 5 is a number.

Yeah, I want to do that. I'll see if they're long enough.

Update:

I've just gotten started on the I/O cover, but I can't stay put with the hardware I have, especially since I've had this motherboard and CPU for over a year and a half. How could I? So all my extra fans and my old Astro A40s to get me just enough to get this:

YMtyLTq.jpg

The Asus Z97 Deluxe, I may get the Sabertooth MK1 (to paint) or the Gigabyte UD5H-BK, whichever matches best. I'll get one of these now and have enough to get a Devil's Canyon chip when they come out :D

I should have pictures of the cover later tonight, see you then!

That's what I'm thinking, the only thing holding me back is OC ability, but I'm sure it's on par. The MK1 sure is the most cost effective option lol

DO NOT GET THAT Z97 DELUXE, EWWW BROWN PCB EWWWW

Hi everyone! I'm backing and watercooling a Define R4! This build log won't take very long at all and I should have it done within the next few days before I go back to school from Spring Break. I'll be taking out the 5.25' bays, but that's abut it for "modding." Enjoy me build! And yes, the EVGA case badge will still be on the inside next to my GPU ;)

PC Specs (same):

GPU: GTX 780 From EVGA

CPU: Intel i7 3770K

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77-UD4H

PSU: Corsair AX850

RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ripjaw X

Case: Fractal Design Define R4

Watercooling (slightly different):

Pump: EK D5 Vario with Top

Radiator 1: Alphacool ST30 240

Radiator 2: EK XTX 360(60mm thick)

Fans: 5 Scythe Gentle Typhoons

GPU Block: Swiftech Komodo

CPU Block: EK Supremacy Acetal+Nickel

Tubing: Primochill Advanced LRT Onyx Black 1/2 3/4

Fittings: Bitspower Matte Black

Custom stuff: IceModz LEDs and sleeved cables.

"Mods:" removing rivets to take out the 5.25' bays for the 360 rad.

I'll be taking out the 5.25' bays later today; stupid rivets.

First pictures:

First little radiator in:

I don't have a good background, but whatever:

I don't even know:

See you later!

like it so much im going to copy your setup but all in pink

love your build!

I was wondering if you had to do any special mounting modifications to fit the 360 radiator in the front? From what I understand, there is a removable fan cage mount that I'm assuming would not leave enough room for the third top fan if used.

Also, is it easy to remove the front door from the frame if i wanted to mod it? Thanks!

I just ripped out the 5.25 bays and placed the rad in, I took out the fan thing, but other than that nothing. The front is completely removable.

Update:

Hello! I've decided to get a Sabertooth MK1 instead of the deluxe. Once it gets here I'll remove the camo and think how I will paint the thermal armor. I also am considering a 360 rad in the top, but I'll have to measure to see if it fits.

See you when things happen!
