What do you guys think, black or white setups?

I'm building a complete pc setup and I'm not sure about whether black or white would look better. Lemme know what your preference is. (I'm not asking you to decide for me just your opinion)

my preference is more black than white your setup should have a little bit of diversity.

Like the mouse mat can be colorful. the gpu should be white imo.

I like high airflow with mesh intakes and easy to open side panels. The case that had that for a reasonable price was black, so I went with a black case. Function over form.

Both in some way, i would say the best way is to alternate the colours.

for example

Option 1

White PC

Black Desk

White Mouse mat

Black Peripherals

White monitor (if possible)

Option 2

Black PC

White Desk

Black Mouse mat

White Peripherals

Black monitor

everything being white is overwhelming and every black is generic and boring

White PC with RGB

Can change color anytime

Though I would say not to spend too much extra on aesthetics unless you're already spending on high end stuffs, because, in my opinion, performance matters more than few glances that I'll do at my PC

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Its up to you to decide which looks better

Though id go black since white builds can lead to uneccesary spending on the board, case, rams, psu, etc.

Performance >>> asthetics

Black is elegant and can be decorated with RGB. Anything white yellows terribly after a few years even if not exposed to sunlight. I got 2 white TPlink Archers C9 for my internet and they are beige at best now. They roasted themselves, I wish they were black from factory like the newer C1900. Your choice. Never buy a white car either. It depends if you are keeping something for 2 years max and then replacing it or you will use it for more than 2 years.

white plastics turn yellow over time, so you have that.

I think white would be better in terms of efficiency because it would absorb less heat

IMO if you are big into RGB than I would use a white case as it lights up better compared to black. With that being said as for the components I would buy what makes sense over strictly buying based on color. When I made my choices on hardware I didnt gp hunting for white choices, but if there was a white variant for the same price I bought them like my RAM, but I didnt spend extra to get things like a white graphics card, and I wanted a MSI Meg Ace mobo so I wasnt gonna compromise to get a cheaper board in white.

If you want better efficiency, buy more efficient components. The color of the case has no bearing on this. This would only matter if your computer is in direct sunlight all day long.

Remember to either quote or @mention others, so they are notified of your reply
