Seems about right.

You can drastically improve if you use the spacebar as often as possible.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

I'm trying to average 50. I can on fast fingers, but that's about it.

How did you accomplish such a feat? Please tell. How many years did it take and what type of keyboard do you have. I strive to be you.

Even improved it a bit on my second try. I learned to type when I was 10/11 years old and I learned half on typewriters and half on thinkpads. The typewriter really helped with being able to type confidently. If you practice one one and switch back you'll fly on the keyboard. I'm currently using an CM Quickfire TK with blues (gotta love the sound).

right now I use an old membrane from 2003. I'm saving for the Quickfire TK though!

I learned to type when I was 14 because my mom made me learn when she was home schooling me. I hated it, but it's easily the most used skill she taught me. Ever since then, I've grown more and more internet present (i.e. I spend a lot of time on the internet), so yeah.

I'm responding to this because I hit around there a lot. I use either a Microsoft ergonomic keyboard (which I have at work) or my Logitech G710+ at home which usually gets me an extra 10-20 WPM.

I started when I was 11, and I get 45....

And how much proper practice did you do? How many fingers do you use to type?

I use all 10 and when I started, my mom made me do exercises to use every key on the keyboard for at least an hour each "school day". I've only improved since then because I refuse to not use all 10 of my fingers. I prioritize certain right handed fingers over left handed fingers, but I use all 10 fingers to type.

Raw CPM:  488  Corrected CPM:  484  WPM:  97  Time left:  0  Restart

Your score: 484 CPM (that is 97 WPM)

Your score beats or equals 98.26% of all!

In reality, you typed 488 CPM, but you made 1 mistake (out of 93 words), which was not counted in the corrected scores.

Your mistake was:

  • Instead of "fire", you typed "fir".

I advise you to take a 2 minute break now.

Did 99wpm before this test but can't quite break 100 right now.  Highest I've ever gotten was 113 but I usually average around 90.
