I'm assuming her main issue is the Pegan Animal sacrifice shrine you apparently have set up to pray to be able to buy a 3080 anywhere near MSRP.

When I was your age I had to game on a Atari 800XL or when at Friend's House, a Commodore 64. See how lucky you are?

Yes I'm showing my Age...

Plan on using someone elses money, and aimed for....
intel i9 10900k
evga 3080
corshair 32gb 2x16
nzxt h510
750w power supply
4tb of storage
msi mpg z490

Bit rich...don't ya think.
How about a Ryzen 3100 or APU 3400G, paired with a used RX570 4GB, 2x8GB 3200C16 & a single SSD you can build from....in a shit case with shit fans.

Do you see my point?
Why did you aim so high with someone elses "Dream Money" maybe your Mom wants a Holiday when you move out and is saving.

You're not going to be able to build a PC with a 3080 for $2000 right now.

Not that at 13 y/o he needs a 3080 or $2000 for a Gaming PC...

I think you don't really need a $2000 gaming PC.

Also I wouldn't recommend building a PC because of how expensive graphics cards are, you can't even get an RTX 3080 for $2000.

If you want a gaming PC look for a prebuilt system.

You kind of come off sounding like that one kid who wants a Porsche as their first car. I don't know about anyone else on here, but my first PC was an old hand me down dell Optiplex with a Pentium D and a 50$ POS graphics card that I had to save up all my money to buy. You can get some pretty cheap stuff used these days if you look hard enough and are lucky with your local listings like FB marketplace and craigslist.

He might have better luck over at Newegg for refurbished Systems. Or he build something within his means. Like around a AMD R3-3200 or R5-3400. Along with 16MB of RAM and a SSD.

Or wait until the Ryzen 5000G Series are by AMD.

Try to spend lower. Go for like a 3400G 2x8 3200MHz a b450 ect.

It took me a year to get my mom to buy 1/2 of a dell optiplex build I did the first time i built a pc. And that was a 200 dollar build

You couldn't build pc anywhere near your target budget rn, and if you could well, that was stupid decision

Also since you're only playing game for the time being down grade the cpu and ram to 16gb and maybe storage to 2tb on whatever configuration you need all ssd, all nvme or whatever

Say it's for school and you'll get a Chromebook :)

While I can see why Schools are using them due to low cost and easy Management, I wouldn't wish one on a Kid. If I had any, They will get to build one with hand me down Parts, or use lower cost ones.
