When on Earth did this get pinned?

I remember the first time I heard Highway Tune I thought it was an old Led Zeppelin B-side.

For a couple of weeks I was really confused as to why the radio kept playing it.

Honestly, I think they lean a bit too heavy on the Zeppelin sound.

While they're all very talented musicians, and I respect them for playing classic, heavy blues rock, I still think their sound is way too close to the source material.

In the end I think this can be to the band's detriment. It's a lot better to be known as Greta van Fleet than it is to be known as 2010's Led Zeppelin.

Look at what happened to Kingdom Come.

Although, I guess a counter-argument could be that Zeppelin also stole everything that wasn't nailed to floor in terms of music

You heard the new Jon Hopkins album? The first half is fantastic, second half falls off slightly but it's still a pretty good album

Yeah, i went out and bought the day of release.

I would have to agree with you. The first half is great, but the quality does suffer towards the end.

But that's only really compared to Immunity, which is one of my favorite electronic music albums.

Also yes.

The new Pusha T is great as well. One of his best solo albums.

I pinned it because of how popular the thread is. ;)

I totally get what you're saying and you could be right, to an extent. I just absolutely love this genre of music and I'm thrilled there's a new band out there taking it back to what are, IMO, the good old days of true rock. Some of the "new rock" out there today is just garbage, IMO. These guys are so talented and their songs are great. It's just a nice breath of fresh air to revive this sound and I'm just lovin it. :)
