I'm assuming that OP considers Chrome and Chromium to be bundled together (because Chrome is built off the the Chromium source code).

EDIT: nvm.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

PSA: Posting a PCPartPicker list with no explanation isn't helpful for first-time builders :)

Regardless, it should be included, unless he's looking for biased and inaccurate data or he's just assuming chromium and chrome are the same thing.

Personally I use tor and Firefox, tor I only use sometimes, Firefox always. Chrome just isn't for me, it seems to eat a bit more ram than firefox and lacks some features(or lacked when I last used it) like picture in picture mode(allows me to pop any video outside the browser window and resize it), not to mention that Firefox has a large focus on privacy, while Google, well it's Google.

I don't really like chrome but have it installed for my web development but mainly use a hardened firefox with extensions such as noscript and ublock origin

Browsing the web these days without things like HTTPS Everywhere, uBlock Origin, etc, is like going to an orgy without a condom, you're just begging to be infected by something.

HTTPS Everywhere is not necessary after Firefox 83 because of https only mode which you can enable in the settings

I personally have Firefox Relay, Adblock Ultimate, Ublock Origin, DuckDuckGo Privacy, Lastpass, HTTPS everywhere, and SponsorBlock. Also have TOSDR (terms of service; didn't read)

Lastpass is not very good. Why don't you switch to Bitwarden or use Keepass/KeepassXC

  • 1 year later...

As for me, my personal favorite would have to be Yandex as it's a REALLY solid browser! 👍 But, if I had to list my "other favorites" they would include Opera GX, & Vivaldi. I also use Edge & Naver Whale as a replacement for Chrome since I was getting a little tired of it. 😉

I like Safari, and I've actually been really liking Edge since they introduced vertical tabs. It's a change I didn't know I'd like so much.
