The cable mess was real, so bad the community demanded it be fixed! So Linus..... well he did what he does best and decided it would be great to cable manage an hour before WAN show. You can probably guess what happened next.

This might be the worst title + thumbnail I have ever seen

The G915 looks nice.
Sweet low profice design.

Decent battery life.
Solid switches.

Usefull media buttons.
USB micro b... wait...

This video was maybe the most disappointing LTT video ever made. Really making me.. worried, I guess, about the future of the channel.

 

Linus is literally lying, or shilling, that these products are actually superiour. Going from a real mech board to logitech’s mushfest awfulness keyboard switches? No way. Even more egregious is saying he will switch from hd600s to some f—ing logitech gaming headset?? That is an actual joke. 
 

You can tell it’s a blatant shill too, because as was a plot point in the video he only had 1 hr to do it before WAN show, and guess which headphones he wore in the WAN show.... the much, much superiour hd600s, because of course he did. 
 

I of COURSE understand the show needs sponsored content to continue but this is blatant lying to your viewers about products which on a review show is NOT COOL.

 

Linus is absolutely not going to be using these low grade, crappy pieces of hardware on his actual desk. The mouse maybe, that one actually isn’t bad. But the keyboard and headset?? Not a chance in hell.

Pretty sure he just wanted to make a video about cable management and managed to get a company to pay for it while given them hardly any focus in the video, I was more interested in how much Linus was going to break with his drill. 

If it was truly a Logitech puff piece, he'd have drawn a LOT more attention to the Brio sitting on top of the monitor. Sponsorship is sponsorship, if it's declared as it was, I don't care. If I want to buy something expensive I'll always check multiple reviews anyway so it makes no difference to me if one or two are sponsored. I like to hope that LTT wouldn't put on a show for a crappy product.

My issue is with the insinuation that linus himself will be using these products. It’s one of the highest honours a product can get on LTT, and in the video it is directly stated that will happen, but I very much suspect it won’t (and as I pointed out with the headphones on the WAN show, looks like I am correct)

 

I also feel it is disingenuous to not mention any of the flaws of the multiple products he lauded, you make a good point in that this isn’t a product review video but one about cable management, but it is still a worrisome path for the channel.

If only it had USB-C, I've been looking for something that has both USB-B 3.0 and USB-C so I can connect to computers to it and act as a KVM but not much out there, think i'll end up going with the Dell U3219Q

I don't know, when the word *sponsored* is used I always take it with a pinch of salt as it's not a review and there will always be some bias there, but the Benjamin's need to be earned somehow and YouTube ad revenue ain't it chief. As long as it's declared I don't care. - Anyone sensible will read a few reviews and watch a few videos before making a big purchase.

Anyone know if Linus is still using the fiber optic thunderbolt 3 cable for his setup? I see the CalDigit thunderbolt dock at his desk but also the Icron 3124 USB extender at his and Yvonne desks. Also he shows the display port cables running their monitors, so I guess he's not running he monitors off the thunderbolt dock. Maybe he's just using the thunderbolt dock for audio and more usb.

Keyboard, mouse, headset, videocard, NIC, speakers, the only wires you should be running are the power ones.
