Do I build my new PC now, or do I wait for my new PSU that arrives in 2021...?

Norwegian here, looking for some help regarding my new pc.

My new spec is:

GPU: Gigabyte 3070 (Arrived)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800 X (Arrived)

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100I Platinum (Arrived)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RPO DDR4 2x16 3200MHz (Arrived)

PSU: Corsair RM750x, 750W (NOT ARRIVED YET, EXPEXTED EARLY 20201!!)

 

 

My question is as follows:

 

Can my old MASTERWATT LITE 600W (80 Plus Standard Certified) PSU run this spec untill i get my new PSU?

I mean you can too test the components, but I wouldn't recommend using it as a daily driver for a month with that

Outside of assembling and booting the system and OS, I would not use it for anything else until your new PSU arrives. IE no workloads or gaming etc.

Used an online Watts calculator, and it tells me that my setup would require 490 watts. So in theory.... it should be fine..?

thats like tdp for cpu+gpu, then another 100w. but that doesnt account for 3070 spikes and cpu spikes.

I could use some help with this!

I think you are fine, just dont overclock anything and you will be well under your PSU limit

You can boot the pc, install OS and programs but I should not play with it. That is bad quality unit to begin with. You could try to undervolt the cpu and gpu and make a smaller power limit for the 3070. Then you could benchmark.

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)
