Have you ever cleaned your pc?

pm128

I clean the inside of my PC once a month or so. Mostly cleaning up surface dust. I should really get some compressed air and blow out my GPU because I can't clean the area under the backplate otherwise, and I haven't done that once since I got it 7 months ago... My temps are still fine though so I think I'm okay for now.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

I take apart the side panel about a month or two to wipe some dust off the PSU shroud or fan/fan filters

I clean the exterior every week or so along with the monitor, keyboard and mouse. Sometimes I use my multipurpose automotive polish on the exterior of the case as well, gives it that extra shine ✨ (my case does not have a tempered glass side-panel btw).

I haven't the inside ever since I've built it though.

Frankly, I clean my pc once in a year, but it is recommended to clean it every 6 months for the betterment of the components.

Comic Sans is a Crime.

Pretty random schedule as life allows. Change the coolant on my personal PC every 4-6 months. It's my own stuff, and it'd likely last a year without being changed if needed. So aside from brushing off the dust filters (external), not often. But then it's not that dusty here.

I dust it off every so often. Though since I have fan filters on every intakes, it's super easy.

I dust it regularly and clean the glass panels. I don't let it get bad. But I'm like that with my MacBook too, I frequently dust the keyboard and the fans and clean the screen (that actually has worked against me because my frequent cleaning of the screen caused the coating to come off of my last one).

Dust cleaning every so often. Full tear down to the bare case/ motherboard then rebuild every 2 years.

I cleaned my pc for the first time at 14, 1 year after building it for my 13th birthday. I installed a new cooler on my fx processes. When i plugged in a cheap fan that came with the pc I plugged in both the fan header and a Molex. It fried my entire mobo. After that I have yet to break a PC but when I clean it I am extra careful.

I got an old HP Compaq I use as a server, the only time it gets cleaned is if I'm working on it. I haven't touched it in months and the front grille is slowly developing a film of dust, and it's got cobwebs around the back. Notify me later if yall want a pic, I'm not at the house right now.
