will ryzen 5 3600 bottleneck rtx 3080 or 3070

jayyyyy555

I'm getting a new gpu because I just sold my gpu because nvidia announced 3000 series. Will ryzen 5 3600 bottleneck 3080 or 3070 and is 600w enough for 3080 because on the wattage calculation website it stated that 600w is ok for 3080 and ryzen 5 3600

Wattage is unclear at this point, please wait for reviews. As for bottlenecking, probably not. If I had to guess I'd choose a 750W or 850W PSU.

One thing I hate more than people asking whether or not their system is bottlenecked... is asking if their hypothetical build will be bottlenecked. It's a dumb term used by people who don't know what they're doing or too insecure and need to show off their specs just to make themselves feel good. As long as you're happy with the experience you're getting, who cares. Could you imagine if people started asking if their tires or engine oil will bottleneck their cars?

FIrst of all, we don't know for the 3080. We've never had such a powerful gaming graphics card, but with the 3070, which is more or less equivalent to a 2080ti, won't bottleneck. But, that PSU is is really really awful. I'd reccomend the antec neoeco (More budget), phanteks amp (Stock Isn't always great), or Enermax Revolution D.F(Almost never a 750w psu in stock, only 650/850w) to be your PSU, over that peice of garbage. For the 3070 I'd go with the reccomendation of 650w I beileve, and for the 3080 a 750w- of the prior models I just mentioned.

That's some of the shittiest advice I've ever heard. That's like saying to a person who's planning a h510 2060S, 3600xt, $500 x570 build that, "As long as you are happy with the experience you're getting, Who cares?"

I think it's time to avoid coming to this forum again. Reviewers just receive their samples for testing. Those speculative questions who one knows the answer keep popping up non-stop.

Will a 1000w PSU be enough for a Ryzen 3 3100 and a 3060Ti?

Will my Alton 3000G bottleneck a 3090?

Thank you. I'll disappear from this forum for at least a couple of months. Bye.

What's the matter with that? If you can play the games at the frame rates, details levels, and resolution that you want, who cares. It's your own computer, not anyone elses'. You're the one who's going to using it day in and day out. If you're happy with what you're getting for your money, why should someone elses' advice matter. You don't always need to upgrade to the latest technologies. Building computers is not a d measuring contest.

yes it will bottleneck on 1080p and 1440p, if 3070=2080 ti (which doesn't seem too likely atm) then it's about 5-10% against intel and likely way more against zen 3, for the 3080 and 3090 i'm expecting a 10-15% bottleneck for some AAA games..600w should be enough.

If there was really no bottleneck then there's no point getting anything other than a 3600 for gaming.

<removed by Staff>  should wait for 4000 CPU first and upgrade his psu before getting 3080 or 3070
