Digital Foundry's also had one for almost two weeks.

I'm sure other reviewers have it already (maybe not even just the 3080), but they're just under NDA.

Alright. I should wait. I should not buy it right away. Wait a year, right? Save some money, wait for the prices to go down? I mean, you will have to buy essentially a new computer - everything but the case and PSU. Your ancient i5 won't support it. Just wait and save up a bit. You aren't exactly making big money now either....

But we wants it... Yes... Give us the precious...

I guess that makes 3/3 early access videos to 3080 and being compensated by Nvidia.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

How to setup MSI Afterburner OSD | How to make your AMD Radeon GPU more efficient with Radeon Chill | (Probably) Why LMG Merch shipping to the EU is expensive

Oneplus 6 (Early 2023 to present) | HP Envy 15" x360 R7 5700U (Mid 2021 to present) | Steam Deck (Late 2022 to present)

Mid 2023 AlTech Desktop Refresh - AMD R7 5800X (Mid 2023), XFX Radeon RX 6700XT MBA (Mid 2021), MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon (Early 2018), 32GB DDR4-3200 (16GB x2) (Mid 2022

Noctua NH-D15 (Early 2021), Corsair MP510 1.92TB NVMe SSD (Mid 2020), beQuiet Pure Wings 2 140mm x2 & 120mm x1 (Mid 2023),

The Techpowerup preview says the review will be out on the 14th, so that's most likely the date the review NDA lifts.

Jay mentioned the temp limit going from 88c to 92c.

This means a lot if you are into GPU temps.

* thread moved to the graphics cards section *

Reviewers getting early samples and making YT videos about it isn't news.

I suppose, but I custom loop everything, so that's not a temp I will ever see. denmode.thumb.png.9382f677b7dbade8e091ef3511b0d96c.png

For extreme OCs that is huge. Costom loop it, with 4c more to work with could be huge.

There's nothing you can do to an Nvidia card to get it to go to 92C under water lol.

They lock them down entirely too much. Can't see that changing this gen.

hmmm do i dare gamble on a 2080ti <500 bucks before reviews come out? people are saying their overclocked 2080tis are within 10-20% of the 3080 benchmarks released so far so i feel like secondhand prices may go up if it turns out that these ampere cards arent actually 500x faster...

topics i need help on:

Spoiler

my "oops i bought intel right before zen 3 releases" build

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (placeholder)

GPU: Gigabyte 980ti Xtreme (also placeholder), deshroud w/ generic 1200rpm 120mm fans x2, stock bios 130% power, no voltage offset: +70 core +400 mem

Memory: 2x16gb GSkill Trident Z RGB 3600C16, 14-15-30-288@1.45v

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming

Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S w/ white chromax bling
OS Drive: Samsung PM981 1tb (OEM 970 Evo)

Storage Drive: XPG SX8200 Pro 2tb

Backup Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 4TB

PSU: Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium 750W w/ black/white Cablemod extensions
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Dark (to be replaced with a good case shortly)

basically everything was bought used off of reddit or here, only new component was the case. absolutely nutty deals for some of these parts, ill have to tally it all up once it's "done" :D

It is not even an issue with the custom partner cards that I buy but it is a good indicator that this card stock may not be a good overclocker.

Sort of like my EVGA 2080 ti XC stock was not with its 2 fan, 2 slot design.

These cards could be interesting in a full loop.  The PCB stops short.  Might be able to stuff a powerhouse into a small case.

Kind of like when I got the 5700XT Red Devil. Super short PCB.

Ah, yes.  I always forget AMD exists in the GPU market.
