Are you using the word scammed when you mean import taxes, availability, and economy?

If those are the prices in Turkey, it is what it is.

Unsure of how the prices are in Turkey, but it doesn't seem unreasonable.

It will generally be more expensive if you compare it that way. Some as if you convert a build in GBP to USD, it's more expensive.

I use the word scammed because I don’t think this pc is worth 1700$ at all but I think its a bit difficult for you to judge this due to the currency and price difference right?

Yes. I would only call it a scam if you paid (a lot) more than what is typical for such a system in Turkey. Which makes it difficult for people outside of Turkey to judge.

Yeah I should have asked this question to a Turkish forum. Anyway, Thanks.

Doing a quick PCPartpicker build the price seems in line, the RTX 2080 vid card eats up the lion's share of that money.

What you can try to do is use PC Part Picker:

This will give you a rough idea what the parts are worth in Turkey. It doesn't include assembly of course and I couldn't find all the parts (and some parts like CPU cooler you didn't mention). But it should give you a starting point.

Everyone expect that shops start selling parts with 0.01% profit. Well, that is not how capitalism works. 1700$ is fair price unless you want to change your pc every month. Or you may start crying because you find the same parts for 5 dollars less.

I bought ram for twice that is worth now but I don't think it was a scam. It's something normal.

This was the reason why I called it a scam also look at the motherboard I could have probably fixed all of those issues with the same amount of money if I was more careful.

Just an FYI. Somewhat good and medium tier PSUs are overpriced over here. Both due to lack of sales and exchange rates. I believe I know which company OP sourced his computer from and they got like 4 PSU choices and 3 of them are shit and one of them just adds another $150 to the their build.

Don't be fooled by the price, it's in Lira while redcan0 translated the price to USD. PCP seems to only have a price for the CPU, it's coincidence that the value for that in Lira is so similar to the $1700.

These three things are bad. I honestly would've rather gotten for the same price a 2070 Super but with a better PSU, motherboard and memory, as in the motherboard (which can either be a DS3H or S2H) will allow for basically no upgradability for the CPU from a 3600, the RAM's single-channel and the PSU, if the original TR2 is anything to go by, is a dumpster fire.

Regarding pricing, or how marked up it is, I can't comment on that since I'm not familiar with hardware prices in Turkey.

What I planning to do is sell The B450 H and buy a second hand B450 Tomahawk Max by adding 50$. Also if I sell the ram I can get the same ram but dual channel for 14$ more. I had no plans on replacing the psu since it created no issues its just a bit loud but since everyone hated it so much here I am going to change that as well. The only part im not really satisfied is if I should get the B450 Tomahawk Max or add another 100$ to the tomahawk max and get a Asus B550-F

Well what you have to do is to google or ask a friend for a lowest price search engine for turkish shops e.g https://geizhals.eu/ is one for European shops.

And that's because if one is not familiar with the Turkish market then he/she can't tell you much because prices are different in different markets.

Here in the EU you can find this stuff for 1200 euro or about 1416 USD but that doesnt mean necessarily that you have been scammed, maybe prices in turkey are higher for a variety of reasons (import taxes, money exchange rate, size of the market in your region shipping cost for the company that imports hardware etc)

Instead of going through the hassle of replacing the PSU, the motherboard, the RAM... Why not just return the pre-built PC for a refund and build it yourself? By the time you do a motherboard swap you're essentially building the PC from scratch anyway so it can't be that you don't know how to build a PC.
