Dont buy cases from corsair!

jewbear_69

I purchased a corsair air 540 in silver, and the first i received from corsair had a chip in the paint, so i contacted them and they sent one to me, the replacement case had a warped top piece and they told me that i had to return one of the cases, i was never told i had to send any one back, and i had no room for an extra case. then they said they would not refund me my money, so i have a case that is warped and looks like crap and out of $150.

I don't like it when someone has one bad experience with a company and then immediately starts saying "DON'T BUY FROM THEM".

That being said, it is too bad that you had a bad experience with them. I personally have a C70 Vengeance case and I love it.

I can be a cynical a**hole at times. I apologize if I cause any offence at those time. I also occasionally have issues communicating my point. Extreme introversion + Photographic memory + Some other things.

It's just immature to have on bad experience and base your entire theory of a company based on ONE experience.

Unless they literally treat you like absolute crap, and "spit in your face" there should be no reason not to try again if they make good products.

Wait.  Either it's because of my awful English or this is kinda stupid. What i got: You had a case from Corsair with an imperfection you reached out to Corsair and they send you another one and now they want you to send in the old one. If what i got is correct then why are you mad? That is perfectly fine.

Ok so...you're mad that they want one of the cases back?

You think they're just going to let you keep both cases?

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, but Corsair is a very good and reliable company.

you are one person with a single event and about 23 post. this comment shall be disregarded.

Your username gives me great confidence in your opinion, sorry for your bad experience, but I love my 900D.

you can also look on the BBB website, and look up corsiar's record, im not the only person who has had this problem. Corsair is a great company, but their customer support is horrid, and to me, (my opinion) customer service makes a company

I've found their coolers to be pretty crappy. H60i I had flat out didn't cool the CPU. Replaced it with a H100i, and either its reviewed far too highly or the two I had were duds, but the pump noise drove me up the wall, made worse by the fact you cant adjust it at all.

Also the grey fans they include with their coolers are abysmal. The H60 I had, I contacted Corsair to get a replacement fan (which took them about 2 months) because the one it came with was making a clicking sound. The replacement did the exact same thing, as did the 4 that came with the H100i's. Also had a HX850 that would spin the fan up to 100% as soon as there was any load.

I think the only think I've got from Corsair that actually works is a mouse pad, and two SP120 fans.

There was a chip in the paint so you threw away a perfectly good case?

I hope a group of environmentalists come and strings you up.

What the hell is wrong with you? There's a thing called paint. Or you could give it to someone who could use it, who you know, isn't so holier than thou that they can't use a slightly imperfect case that honestly no one will probably see anyway.

You, sir, are what's wrong with consumers these days.

and also, im not forming my opinion around their products, its about how their customer service acted, it took 2-3 weeks to even hear anything back about my first replacement, they have some good products, but to me, if customer service is crap, then the company isnt a high quality company.

What about the thousands of people that haven't had a problem? People that have bad experiences will leave a review, most people that have a good experience don't think to do so. Corsair's customer service has been brilliant to me. They replaced my old H100i within a week.

because i paid $150 for  case, i dont want it to have chips in the paint, i display my pc whenever i build new ones, and I could not display this one, and i tried giving it away and no one wanted it because it looked weird.

I can understand a case with a warped piece of metal making up its structure... but a bit of paint if chipped... shut up and deal with it as you will be able to fully loose that case.

its not the fact of the chip, its the principal, if you buy a $300,000 car and the paint is chipped, wont you take it back?

That's a full out lie and you know it. There's no way people would turn down free stuff because it "looks weird".

Especially a PC case. Modders would have loved to get their hands on it.

Funny, because you know what they'd have done?

Taken it into the back and repaired the paint job with paint.

It's not like they just throw out the car.

Again, that's a very small minority. Corsair will have thousands of people going through their customer service and a very small amount will have a bad experience, like you, and then assume that they're terrible. EVGA has gotten people that have had bad experiences and left bad reviews, yet they are often considered to have one of the best customer support among graphics cards companies.
