I suck so hard at PC games.... WHY?!

SanJoseSharks

OK.... I'm bubbling with rage while I type this. I suck at PC gaming. I was with my trusty xbox 360 for 4 years before I built my first PC, I spent 700 dollars to build this computer  but I can't play the games I have on it AT ALL because I suck at playing them. I had a solid 2 K.D. In BLOPS2 on my xbox, but I cant even get a kill in most multiplayer games I play on the PC. HOW DO I SUCK THIS BADLY. I am really worried that I'm going to regret going to PC, Whats the point of having nice graphics and cheap games if I suck at playing them? Is there any way to remedy this? I just purchased a coolermaster devastator with mouse combo from amazon, I've been using a shitty keyboard and mouse I had lying around this entire time. Maybe that will help.....

Please help! I've never been this bad at black ops 2 or any other game before, I think its because I'm just not good at PC gaming, maybe I am just a console boy after all.......

Well try training with bots. Plus i have also solid 2K.D rate in some games with only my Logitech K100 keyboard and mouse! I mostly play with bots or enter a noob server, you'll get used to pc in awhile.. it happens to console players often

just get used to it...

I used to be good at consoles, now I suck majorly. I would go like 1 kill 9 deaths on xbox when I played at my friend's house. And it's not because i'm bad at FPSs either, I'm usually in the top couple players in my team.

Get a big mousepad and lower your sensitivity.

You'll get better over time. Years ago I used to be pro at Xbox, now I'm terrible. Like-wise I've improved at FPS with mouse and keyboard. Just practice and don't give up :)

make sure u dont have some super high mouse sensitivity. even though u can get used to it(i used to play on stupidly high sensitivites) u should use a lower one, less chance of a error, less chance of missing, more control over your aim i think you get what im saying. also make sure u have around 60+ fps as low fps can get you killed or make you perform bad as noone wants to play a choppy game.

if you have any more questions ask away!

What keyboard and mouse you are using is pretty irrelevant for the most part. What you need to do is be patient until you learn to use mouse and keyboard good or just use your xbox 360 controller. I still use my controller for a few pc games myself.

COD games will have much more faster gameplay on pc. Try something slower like csgo or battlefield. I recommend you to play with bot until you are bored of win with expert difficulty.

Changing platforms requires getting used to like anything else. You just need to get used to keyboard/mouse controls. As CoolBeans said, there's no aim assist on PC whatsoever, that feature makes or breaks a player. I used to be really into MW3 on my Xbox and I got pretty good, not MOAB every game good, but the best I had ever been playing, I turned off AA and went horribly, -3 k/d every game. Not because I wasn't fast enough, I just couldn't aim. Just bear with it and practice. Lowering the sensitivity can help immensely.

Mouse and keyboard takes some getting used to just like you got used to using a controller that is all. Lower your sensitivity in games, it helps a lot!

If your keyboard is sticky, that would be a factor.

(I once cleaned a keyboard with a dead maggot colony in it. NOT fun.)

Otherwise, you'll probably get used to it. You should try out planetside 2 as well, great game. (join TR if you do.)

Woo!

You need good mouse. Keyboard doesn't really matter. Also, make sure your settings are good and you get no lag.
