should i buy a cheap motherboard

Don't by a 1200 unless it is like 40$

Your going to want something a little better for decent overclocks

A basic low res gaming system?

Mid Range 1080p 144hz gaming?

AAA titles on Ultra or 1440p+ gaming?

Office and browsing?

NAS or HTPC?

Well you're gonna lose some feature with low end motherboard and low quality vrms which is bad for OC.

 

But if you don't mind that, then go ahead. But make sure it has a good warranty.

3100X is likely good enough but if you want a stronger GPU at some point spend the extra few bucks and get a 3300x

When did they release it ? I thought there was only one 3100
