What 2020 games are you most hyped for?

I am excited for three different games, instead of just one: Dying Light 2 (not 100% certain it'll get even released in 2020), Wasteland 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.

Definitely Cyberpunk 2077. Sadly, not many games really draw my interest these days but I've been waiting on Cyberpunk 2077 since it was initially announced back in 2012.

Funny that you mention, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. After posting I happened to think of it. Very interested in how it will turn out. It's been so long I may take a trip down memory lane replaying the original. I've forgotten a lot.

Also considering C&C remastered ..but ..its EA now ..so ..as much as i loved the originals .. I cant give money to EA. We shall see.

Hopefully a alpha or beta for Back 4 Blood will comeout this year. 

 

Other than that i am waiting on GTFO and Squad to leave early access and have their "official launches" this year.

Used to be Doom: Eternal, Automobilista 2, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Cyberpunk 2077, now only CP2077 left. 

Doom: Eternal and AMS2 met my expection though still on rough edges for AMS2 because of early access. FF7R totally exceed my expectation.

I will absolutely be getting this too as I can absolutely see me playing the whole game through again and 4K 60fps would make that a whole lot easier.  Its one game where I chose resolution over frame rate as being able to see further into the distance was extremely useful for planning your attack and seeing danger.

HZD has absolutely phenomenal surround sound. I ended up disabling all of the HUD and music and just listening to the environment and auditory cues.

Fun fact, GOW is also pretty decent with surround sound, and I don't know if it's because I disabled my HUD or not, but Mimir or Atreus will shout out when an enemy is about to attack from behind so I can dodge. Nice touch that.

The rest of the Master Chief collection, specifically Halo 2 and 3.  I usually buy stuff when it's a couple years old so I'm no stranger to waiting, but I've been waiting a decade for this.

Sony said they were not going to make a habit of having their exclusives on PC, although how much that's worth right before the PS5 launch I do not know.  But it kinda makes sense, now that everyone who wants these games on PS4 already have it, release on PC.

 

So I think yes their exclusives will come to PC, but probably take the same length of time.  So its about how long you are willing to wait for them.

 

As for surround sound, it makes me sad to think so many people play games without it.  I've had surround sound since the Soundblaster Live! cards came out (1998) and its evolved so much over the years.  Even with 7.1 speakers, Dolby Atmos is yet another huge jump.
