Centipede on the Atari 2600. The first console I owned was an OG NES but my Uncle had a ZX Spectrum +2 and a C64 so I was always playing on those. Turrican blew my mind as a 6 year old.

Edit - Hmm, I guess my memory is playing tricks on me, I would have been 11 when Turrican released but I swear I was playing it when I was much younger.

First game I ever played was Wii Sports Resort dogfight on my grandparents' Wii.

That Wii still works - I just don't have it because we use it at my grandparents' house.

I do have the disc, though.

It was a brand new Atari 2600 when I was a kid...but a revised slim 2600 Jr. First cartridge put into it was Megamania...a game I actually still play to this day granted on a newer Atari Flashback 9 Gold console. Nice to relive a little bit of childhood.

Probably something on the Atari 2600.

hmm... not counting the Commodore 16 & 64 games, I guess it was... Nibbles on Qbasic! 🤣
More seriously, I THINK the first PC game I deliberately bought was Indianapolis 500 The Simulation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indianapolis_500:_The_Simulation
I was playing it under DOS 5.0 on a Compaq 286 laptop with a green tinted CGA 640x240 display: painful to look at but I did have a lot of fun with it.

Hard to say what was actually first. I was born in 1986, and my dad worked at Digital (DEC), and we had some early computers.

My first actual recollection of a PC game was Loadstar: The Legend of Tully Bodine. It was a DOS release in '95 and I would have been 9/10 at the time. I also would have played Doom around that time too, but hard to say if it was before or after Loadstar.

My dad was also a gamer, and he had an Atari 2600 and 7800. I imagine a game from one of those would have been my first console experience, probably common like Asteroids or Space Invaders; IIRC he had ~30 2600 games.

Then of course, the usual suspects of Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt on NES.

My first gaming console was NES back in 1993 when I was 6. I think it was a knock off NES console as it includes 64 games internal (with 11 or 12 recurring games slightly modded for easier gameplay). I think City Connect was the very first game I played in that console.

I have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). More info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism_spectrum

I apologies if my comments or post offends you in any way, or if my rage got a little too far. I'll try my best to make my post as non-offensive as much as possible.

Super Mario on the NES.

My grandma got me the whole kit one that came with the one cartage with mario, duck hunt, and world class track meet plus the running pad and zapper. Needles to say i had the coolest setup in the 1st grade.

Pong

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
