Our pfp world domination is being challenged and we must stop it! But on a different note I think its pretty cool as now we can have gang wars with certain challenges like folding and the loser has to  promote the other gang by updating their signature to say to join the other gang for a week.

That's where it became a meme, yeah. This all started well after it was firmly imbedded in slack/meme culture, and was originally intended as a brief joke against someone who used to be on here.
