Steam outage in Europe

Seems steam is suffering a huge outage tonight.

 

Apologies for linking to a crap newspaper but they were the first to post the news here

Valve users are reporting Steam server issues tonight, ahead of what many believe to be the start of the Halloween Sales event.

Recent leaks suggest that this would happen today, October 28 and would run until early November 2019.

Other reports suggest a different problem and it could take many hours to fix. A lot of frustrated users are taking to social media to have a moan but this is a rarity and sh1t happens.

It's not just Europe. I haven't been able to get online today, and I'm in the US. Even the website is down.

Yep, just checked the outage map and it seems there are more than a few outages around the world although europe seems to have the biggest red splot.

My main rig has been logged in all day without an issue. Trying to connect to the Friends network on my Laptop or other desktop now is a no go. From the midwest.

Thank Lizard Squad. They've been back for maybe a month now. Unbelievable they can just tweet shit and still continue for this long lol. I'm guessing it's going to be a shit Christmas this year.

Steam was down for around 4 hours yesterday for me, but only the Steam network part of it. I could still connect to Team Fortress 2 servers, but not access my friends list, market, community tab etc.
