Posted February 5, 2014 To be fair, they already needed to run it on the Xbox 360 so it shouldn't be too surprising that the lowest settings on the PC get pretty darn low. Posted February 6, 2014 You have to look at this from Respawn's perspective. This is the first game for these ex-infinity ward developers and most gamers honestly don't know that. Respawn isn't going to get the benefit of the doubt like they should, as they are responsible for arguably the most successful game ever not named World of Warcraft. It stands to reason, then, that they have to approach this as "starting from scratch", which means rebuilding their player base. One of the easiest ways I can think of to do that is to release a game that most gamers can actually play, thus the minimum specs being as low as they are. Sure, it'd be cool if they released a graphical juggernaut like Crysis was when it was released, but we all know if that happened, it would restrict the player base substantially, and the game ultimately would not be as highly regarded.
