EVGA G2 vs GQ?

The G2 units used to be on a higher tier than the GQ units due to being better overall.  Now they show up in the same tier.  Has something changed?

You can't take tier lists too serious as they are always flawed in someway, in this case no nothing changed regarding the G2 and GQ.

 

What changed is the Tier List and those change all the time.

G2 is leagues ahead of the GQ. 

 

The current rendition of the tier list is in a state where I could not recommend it to anyone looking for a PSU.

Oof, just checked in on it again and I'm bamboozled. Why is the RMi on the same level as the AXi, but then the T2 which is a better PSU than the RMi is on the next tier list down? 

I'm thinking it's because the actual PSU guys either left for personal reasons or were chased off by the PSU gang with a hard-on for blasting you with a list of specs and technical terms to prove they know more vs actually giving people useful info and having knowledge and experience with PSUs. Giving advice if you don't know it all is fine, but trying to set your thread up as the definitive tier list but not even ordering stuff right is an oof.

I was actually thinking the guys that actually know about PSUs got chased off by the people that think they know about PSUs giving bad advice.

 

OP:  G2 is way better than GQ.
