USB Power Delivery 2.0 supports up to 100W of power through USB, BUT I dont think anyone implements it for USB Type A and on top of that it has to be implemented hardware wise, or else you will be frying your chipset and probably motherboard (because AFAIK 5W is the max USB2.0 devices can provide).

So no, not without very extensive modification(s).

Hi,

 

I have a question about charging a laptop with USB. Is it possible, really? I read about if there is a USB Type-C port on a laptop, then it's possible to charge it with USB. But that USB has the rotationally-symmetrical feature, but my laptop has a USB port in the picture below.

 

I didn't want to risk my laptop, so I wanted to ask about it here.

Your notebook need to specificly support it, else you'll break it.
Check the manual or website for the specs. ;)

Lenovo did that on some of their low powered yoga laptops back in the day.

I do it with my iphone and it works fine. Then again, it probably depends on what laptop you want to use...

Just an FYI to everyone, USB power delivery 2.0 is NOT USB2.0

USB 2.0 max power is 500mAh at 5V. But ive not ever seen an USB port that actualy reaches that. Unless its a charger.
