Warnings about flashing things. In action movies, first person shooters and animes where everything is jumping and flashing. Like, how about having some common sense? I have yet to see a first person shooter, action movie or Japanese anime without flashing things that might trigger an epilepsy episode. wtf? You don't need a forced unskippable 10 second warning about epilepsy in things that are about as self describing to be that as "the water is wet". Yeah, I know it sucks for people to have epilepsy, but if it's any of those things, what are the odds they won't cause it by some miracle?

I disagree here. It's perfectly reasonable to include a warning for a real risk, which can easily be prevented by said warning. Content descriptions and age recommendations are also perfectly reasonable. This "news" is a sad overreaction to what was likely just an automated rating system based on content tags.

I would not mind if Pixar and Disney would never ever do another fart or poop joke on their movies.

I had a great shit 10 minutes ago.

You don't want to know what the guys around me come out with if you think a fart is offensive.

They might want to govern the cows on farms then, their stench is far more offensive to my nose. I'm so special.

There are action games that do not have flashing things that could trigger it, some of them is mainly sworrd fighting for example, but still, not all games is like that. Also some movies. Some people also do not research movies much before they watch them...

Also, non action games might or might not have flashing things....

Exactly.

Besides, RejZoR's entire argument is based on prior knowledge, which is a luxury he has because he doesn't have epilepsy.

It's like arguing we shouldn't require information about allergens on food products.

I know that this cupcake contains nuts because I've had them before, so therefore everyone should know that. Why do bakers have to state that they contain nuts? People who are allergic to nuts should also already know it since I already know it! Damn all these overbearing laws and rules.

Pfft, if those losers can't be bothered to get over a simple allergy, then they deserve what they get. /sarc

In all seriousness, those warnings can go overboard.  Like the container of peanuts which has an allergen warning about containing peanuts, or a coffee cup with warnings about contents being hot.  There's such a thing as going too far.  Making those warnings unskippable is obnoxious for those of us who have no use for them.

Spoiler

In case you think I'm being facetious about the nut allergy
