What is the ideal gpu for my old fx 8350 cpu for the latest aaa games to be played ?

Greetings all. I want to know what is the latest GPU available for playing all the latest AAA games in my age-old fx 8350 CPU with Asus crosshair v formula z motherboard I am attaching the belly of my computer. I have attached the maximum amount of smps because to get a good GPU soon so want advises of all my learned friends in here. Any article related to my question s always welcome or videos perfect for my build. Thanks in advance and have a nice day. Temperatures are above 40 degrees due to Indian summers.

An RX570/580 should be a decent fit.

Id say a GTX 1060 6gb, RX 580, GTX 980 or a r9 290x/r9 390x.

 

All should be a decent fit for your build overall.

It is very much game dependent whether you'd see benefits over a 1060 or 580, as those are the ideal choices. A 1070 is likely going to be held back by the CPU in most situations, so that is likely the top of the line for that CPU.

I have all these games presently in my steam. Actually, there is a friend of mine who lend me his gtx 950 he lends me his GPU when he visits me say twice a year maybe for few days and then takes his GPU back when he returns to his college hostel later.

I had an FX8350 until the start of this year, paired with an RX580 and it was decent enough. It's gonna struggle on higher settings as the CPU just isn't fast enough to max out the card.

 

I was playing the Wolfenstein series on that setup too... Not on max settings, but I was playing 1440p. I struggled with Assassins Creed Origins frame rates and GTA V has always been an issue on FX CPU's due to it's heavy reliance on single thread performance.

 

Good news is, you can pick up a 580 8gb really cheap these days... We're talking £130-140 here in the UK... and the RX570 is even cheaper. I saw them for around £105 this week.

 

I'm now running the 580 on a B450 with 2600X and 32GB 3200mhz ram (had 16gb before) and the card can still hold it's own in 1440p... now running most games at very high or ultra settings and getting 40-60fps... Which is fine for me at the moment as my 2 27" monitors are only 75hz and the 22" is only 60hz.

 

Funnily enough, I just went back and played a couple of the Crysis games recently and was getting really good performance on my new setup.

 

Currently waiting for real world results on the 5700 cards before deciding if my next upgrade will be AMD or nVidia based.

Absolute Maximum would be RX5600XT or Vega 56 anything over is probably a bad idea...

my processor is old I study for Google nowadays I need to break my own records to be able to buy much more higher rig I am not a beggar begging for games or hardware I put my name on world map I study 22 hours a day to bring grades above 9.0 overall.So I could only get what is affordable to my pocket for now in between buying books and no fiber due to natural disaster in my city all fibers are gone, it would take a month to repair it.I have tethered my mobile to make it hot spot writing articles in forums.
