SOLVED: IS LMG Not getting Paid for views on AppleTV or iPhone or iPad??

I watch LMG videos (and most everything else) thru the youtube app on my Apple TV 3.

 

It’s signed in to my youtube account and everything is fine….or was fine.

 

Recently I noticed that Watch History wasn’t reflecting things I watched on my Apple TV.

 

After some limited troubleshooting, I THINK the problem is with the ATV app, not the account.

 

I haven’t found out yet if other ATV3 owners (or other ATV Models) are seeing this problem or not. (anyone here?)

 

So does this mean LMG hasn’t been getting the views from my (and other ATV users) views?

 

EDIT: I'm seeing this same problem with the iPhone AND iPAD

But if it's not regestering it's being watched, then are they getting paid? Is youtube keeping the dough?

Ok..see... I don't really care about them getting their money so much as my technical problem getting solved or at least seen if it's a shared issue with others....so by mentioning it that it could be affecting LMG, then that brings heavier guns than mine to bare on the issue

if you watch something on youtube on it, does it show up in history?

of note, I've checked and my iPhone, also set to the same youtube account, is also not registering into watch history.

And I checked with a second ATV, and now with my iPad, AND with a different youtube acocunt....and none of them registered video views or them into watch history.

 

So it doesn't seem to be my equipment or my accounts.

My 8 Plus records my watch history just fine. Tested with the latest MacBook Pro video.

And with you confirming it's something on my end, I thought of what could be affecting it that's new on my end, and it's the Pi-Hole DNS server I set up.

I disabled it, ran a video on my iPad, and it worked like it's supposed to.

 

Looks like the web site registers views directly, while the iOS apps send a separate signal to register it, that isn't part of the playback or normal commands.

So, I just need to figure out what is being blocked and unblocked it.

Don't worry about it, LMG doesn't rely on youtube ads.

As I mentioned above...I wasn't really concerned about LMG. I was more wanting to maybe get them involved if this was a youtube problem, rather than something on my end; attract attention from the board to get someone else to check their system, as @DrMacintosh did, which then let me quickly zero in on the problem;  and wanted to avoid the mods saying "This is a status" and closing the thread, thus preventing the previous two things from happening
