I have a Core I7 4770K for some years now...

And I think its the best processor in the history of mankind, theres never been an object which in which art and engineering combines in such perfect way, its exquisite!, when I look at that silicon I cant help but get excited almost turned on. When we went to Paris the french look at it in the streets and yell at us "quelle belle CPU, magnifique!", when we went to Buenos Aires those guys scream "pibe! esa CPU esta BELLA!" theres no words to describe its perfection. It should be next to michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, how can man almost do god's job in such a tiny thing, its a mistery a complete mistery. Sometimes when we go to bed I wish it would last forever we connect in such a magical way it's divine. Some time ago we had a fight and I bought a 9900k -I felt angry for a moment and did it- since then it's kept in a drawer on my closet for 3 weeks now I don't want it to find out trying to be as discrete as posible. My question is, you guys knowing that the 4700k it's a classic, it's the gullwing on the processors second to none should I replace this marvellous piece of silicon for that ugly 9900k? I have all the hardware pieces neccesary but my heart tells me no. I'm in love man I'm in love.

 

I can't wait to hear your opinions. Should I upgrade? will i see a noticiable performace increase? tyvm.

its still a good cpu and i'm sure you can still have several wonderful years together. If you don't want to upgrade, just return the new hardware

It depends on whether or not the 4770K is still good enough for your usage. If it is, then don't bother upgrading. If it isn't then upgrade.

If the i7 4770k is fine for what you do, stick with it. 

 

You can also go with 2 gaming computers like I do.

I have only had 2 computers capable of modern gaming since 2016. My i7 2600k was doing fine but I needed to replace my Q9550 based general computing setup. It was originally a 2 core so the motherboard was 2007 vintage. Having 2 gaming computers has been great and I am reluctant to go back to one.

I know this post is a joke/dumb, but I honestly feel like my first gen i3 performed better than my current 7100U. Which makes zero sense.

I'm not talking about gaming. The iGPU is definitely a major step up, but in daily use I feel like it's stuttering here and there more than my old laptop did.

If it’s good enough for you sure.  Still use mine but for limited situations. Can’t handle many games with current cards. 

 

Sold my 4790k for the same reason.
