16:9 144hz or 21:9 60hz?

Forget it... as much as I am an 21:9 enthusiast and I will never go back to 16:9 myself the truth is that 25 inch model is far too small for 2560x1080p, you need a 29 inches monitor for 2560x1080p.

 

There shouldn't even exist 25 inch variants if I'm honest.

 

If you can't afford the 29inch one then the solution is go with 16:9.

I have never had neither and im getting my pc soon. Would be playing racing games and sometimes competitive games like csgo or lol recreatively. I have a gtx 1660 with a ryzen 5 2600. Both monitors are 1080p and cost roughly the same price. So im looking for an experienced answer

Personally I would go for the 144hz panel. I made the beginning of this year and hallelujah it’s so beautiful haha

No one can decide for you. I feel like a widescreen gets me way more immersed than a fast refresh rate, and I could hardly use the fast frame to my advantage anyhow.

I once gave Luke and Linus pizza.

Personally I'd go for the 144hz, and I would recommend it too especially if you play FPSes.

Ultrawide is really useful in racing games, it gives you an advantage in Field of View. I use a LG 34um69g 75hz ultrawide panel and I used to play Project Cars 2 a fair bit until my xbox controller broke. The extra field of view available really helps when you're defending position. And of course the immersion is far better. Once you've experienced 21:9 you can never go back.

 

What are the prices you're looking at?

Id go for the 16:9 panel, FPS games are not always the kindest UI wise to ultrawide and 144Hz is a real benefit in games like CS:GO

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

I understand. The 21:9 would cost 180 to 190$ while the 16:9 would cost 230-240$

Anything at 27” and above should have 2560*1440 resolution. Find it at 1080p pixelated.

 

at 29 inch I would want 1440p resolution minimum.

21:9 aspect ratio screen size works differently from 16:9.

 

The 29 inch ultrawide has the height of a 25inch 16:9.

I find 32" 1080p screens fine... and I have 20/20 vision...

That has to do with distance. 

 

I personally would not get any 1080p screens above 24 inch. I find it gets too pixelated
