Posted January 23, 2014 I just got accepted last week. It's awesome. I was so close to rebuying the games my son plays on my account for his own account. Now we can play the same shared collection, as long as we don't want to play the same games. Streaming max settings to my laptop so we can actually be in the same room will be nice. Posted January 24, 2014 I tried it. I like it. I tested a basic game so far; I was testing a scenario with my laptop as the streamee, and my desktop rig as the streamer, and also trying games that are gamepad friendly, which was DiRT 3 so far). I also disconnected my laptop from the wired network so that I could get a genuine feel of the latency due to the wireless gamepad going to the laptop, then going across Wifi to my desktop rig. There was no noticeable major latency. Of course, we all know that we are going to play more intense multiplayer games on our main rigs without streaming to reduce lag and improve quality, e.g. BF3/4 multiplayer or SC2 multiplayer. The In-Home streaming is incredibly perfect, however, for those console-y games (DiRT 3, Darksiders 2, Dark Souls, Red Faction Armageddon, Assassin's Creed games), and especially indie titles. The idea is to stream the games that would make more sense on the couch with a gamepad and a large TV in the living room or bedroom, and more-or-less single player experiences. And in this scenario, even the beta version of In-Home Streaming passes with flying colors. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
