Is a GTX 1650 a worthy upgrade from a RX 460 2GB

Been wantint to upgrade my pc but dont have a lot of money as i am a student so i was wondering if this would be a good upgrade or if i would need to gop with something a little more powerful

 

my pc specs are as follows

Ryzen 3 1300X

8GB RAM

RX 460 2GB

B350 motherboard

500W PSU

No, Get an RX 570 instead. Same price, and better performance. You can also at times find RX580s for the same price as a 570. The 1650 is a garbage GPU with no real place.

What PSU are you using?

I'd recommend going with a RX 570 instead, its a much better card for the price.

Wait on that 580, you wont regret it.

Nope, you want a RX 580 or a GTX 1660 minimum to make it a senseful upgrade.

Nope. Buy an RX 570 if you want a performance upgrade. It’s cheaper than the 1650 and performs better.

If your PSU has a six-pin, get an RX 570 instead. If your CPU doesn't have a six-pin, buy one that does, then buy a used RX 570 from eBay for $80-90 and you'll still spend less than a GTX 1650 would cost.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

The PSU would have to have a 6 pin because of the RX 460. However, the 570 needs an 8 pin .

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

My Power Color Red Devil RX480 has an 8pin but runs fine with a 6pin.

Regardless, we need to know more about that "500W" PSU.


There is a PSU called "SL-500", that looks like a 500W but its not.
