What is Tier D (just don't buy...) PSU?

Is it that bad that won't last a year or two?

some have some really high ripple, up to some being literal bombs

that's why we as a group don't recommend buying any of them

Is it good enough? 550W BQ StraightPower 11 for ~ 88 euros.

650 watt would be better for me, 550 seems a bit tight

some folks here claimed, that my issue might not actually be the PSU but the mobo, so I am thinking about ordering some DDr4 memory and using my brothers "old" 6600k and z170 board

PS:nvm I forgott that he only replaced his CPU, not actually the mobo, so my only try is the PSU, if that one doesnt fix it then I wont play demanding games then...

From the limited information I could find on it, it's about as good as a Bitfenix Fury (which is Tier C). As @LukeSavenije said, it's somewhat okay.

that's a fsp aurum, but it's about the same as far as i can find too

Then I guess I REALLY have to go with the overkill option, thank you all again ?

afaik, these are not that good, but certainly not a fire hazard. A midrange-budget option. Not a very good unit, but certainly better than 90% of ppl are using.

I tried hard to look for alternatives for my system which has R5 2600 + 1660Ti in it, but I can't even find one here in Turkey which is less than 750W and high up on this beautiful list. As @LukeSavenije and @Spotty stated before, the only considerable option we could find was RM750x unfortunately.

wait. For that, even 400w is more than enough.

What's your budget? Where are you located? Be Quiet Pure Power 11 CM 400W is around 70 euros in my country, slightly less in fact..

That's kinda true lol yeah I guess it's great to be able to find a great unit among all the crap even if it's too much

My budget is around 120$ but brands here are quite limited; EVGA, Be Quiet, Bitfenix, none of these are available. Ordering from Amazon/Newegg isn't that logical for my case either since it gets quite expensive with the shipping and all that.

pity, bc bitfenix has a very good 450w line with Whisper M and Formula Gold 450w units.

I don't know why retailers like to keep hweeege PSU-s, when a modern PC with 1660ti or 2060 GPU will don't really need more than 500w in most cases. :(

Still not close enough; but I've found this for a little bit cheaper than RM750x, I guess it's Strider Gold:
