Paid for 2 Amazon Primes,

Little backstory was looking through credit card statements and saw 2 charges. "Amazon Prime Member CA" for $8.95cdn and "Amazon Prime" for $17.24cdn. Can't be right as Canadian Prime is only $7.99+ taxes. Called up Amazon Prime Customer service, was told by their call center that I have 2 amazon prime accounts, one for .com and one for .ca so despite the exchange rate, $17.24cdn is $12.99usd. Was also told that when I made the CA account, it also made one on the US site aswell (for some odd reason) and they were able to help me cancel the US account as its never had a single transaction. Never the less, they've given me a little more than a years worth of money back!

It sucks how we can't just have a general Prime subscription for all the Amazon domains, quite problematic especially in Europe.

AFAIK Amazon US has drones where Amazon CA doesn't. The Prime List is so much longer thus the extra 40% for Prime.

The price could be based on what type of benefits you can get. They already do this for Amazon.de for example; I pay less for my Amazon.de prime subscription than a german customer because I don't get all the benefits that a german customer has

any issues ive had with prime amazon has takin care of me...hell because of different screw ups, i had amazon prime for free almost a whole year....
