Posted January 30, 2019 I knew this was coming from a mile away. When they released the EVO 860 SSD series it was just a matter of time before that trickled down to everything else. Posted January 30, 2019 I don't even use 1TB on my desktop much less on my phone. Only about 20GB used on my phone. 10GB of which is the OS. Phones are a bad device to backup data on to because of how easy they are to break or lose.
 I'd be able to store everything I could ever dream of on there(I'm still yet to fill up 1TB on my desktop), and I'd probably run it into the ground anyway, or until the hardware stops doing what I need it to do. Yes, but now I can store so much more of those.... Devices, like the google pixel, deteriorate quickly. Mine runs about a quarter as fast as it did the day I got it around launch. App tray doesn't move smoothly, everything is clunky, battery life has been halved, videos/pictures will become a glitchy mess in some cases and the phone is slow all around. I get battery problems and video problems like what you mentioned with my GS3. Everything else about it is usually pretty snappy. I wish the same could be said for my phone. Look at it this way, you buy the phone with the intention of using it for 3 or 4 years with 1 TB of storage right? With how storage premiums continue to rise you'd probably pay 1,400 USD to 1,500 USD, bearing in mind that it will not have a warranty around a year or so after launch, will be several gens behind and will be worth a fraction of what it was worth especially since it's used with deterioration. 128Gb-256Gb is probably max unless you're some crazy power user that needs 30 different apps on a daily basis for workplace management. You are now, effectively, left with a phone that was worth 1,500 USD, that'd serve better as a pretty paper weight/dedicated shooter. Posted January 31, 2019 I could have a terabyte hard drive for $40 instead of $4000 but you know users they buy the same phone every year just like fifa fans buy the same game every year and trick themselves into believing the hair texture of a player is different this time and it was worth the money.
