How Many Computers Do You Have?

I have three and am thinking about selling one since I feel like three is too many. I was curious how many other people have.

A laptop and a desktop that's often used, another laptop that's hardly ever used, and a desktop that's in parts.

Why do I have so many? They were cheap, everything I listed (excluding my main PC and laptop) probably cost me ~$200

3 1/2. Three notebooks and a desktop still under construction. The notebook I normally use when traveling is my daily driver right now. The other two notebooks were spares I bought a while back while I still could get them with Win 7 on them. I'll be converting one of them (the one that has never been used) to Linux in a couple of months.

1 Desktop, 1 Laptop for Myself, 1 Raspberry Pi NAS, 1 Laptop for my Fiance, and some random parts. I had several more laptops lying around but I fixed them up and gave them to family members.

Well, I guess it kinda depends on what you wanna call a computer. I'm just gonna go ahead and shoot down one technicality and not count game consoles/handhelds. I have three desktops. My main gaming rig, my HTPC, and my SD HTPC (hooked up to a CRT TV). I also have an nVidia Shield Tablet and a OnePlus 5. Oh, and my LG Smart TV though I basically don't use the smart features because PS4 and HTPC.

 

In storage I have an old white box Athlon XP 2000+ system, a Pentium 4 based IBM ThinkCenter, a Droid Razr M, a OnePlus One, a first gen Fire TV Stick, and the CPU, Mobo, and RAM of my main computer circa 2008 (actually a great hard drive tester system, maybe I'll buy a cheap test bench for it someday).

 

I guess you could say they are technically mine but my dad's laptop and desktop. Actually I hate that laptop so let's just ignore it. That's why I let him use it. I gave him a monitor for Christmas one year to use the laptop like a desktop, but I said "F--- that laptop". I built a tower from spare parts and let him use that instead.

Reasons for all the tech:. Most are used by students at my wife's school being that they don't have the budget for stronger computers. Nor do the students have the finances for them either. So I have built each machine and worked with several companies to fund these students with the technology to help them learn. Plus it's from donations from my own company as well.
