i5-3570k doesn't perform as good as other 3570k's

Hello dear readers!

I've been standing in front of a relatively big and very annoying problem for a while now.
For many games, my i5-3570k does not deliver the same performance as other i5-3570k's.
Temperatures are all ok (so no thermal throttling) and there is no dust.
The problems are greatest at Battlefield 1 and GTA V.
GTA V (which is stored on the SSD) sometimes has fairly large streaming problems (buildings and streets do not load properly or take a while), which makes the game run permanently at ~ 45FPS.
I turned down the draw distance and tried these settings, but still no change (process priority and everything possible already tried).
Actually, it should work like this: CLICK ME!
BF1 runs on a 64 player server on high with max. 60FPS with drops up to 40FPS!

Is there any BIOS or windows setting that limits the performance of the CPU?

What is your Windows power plan set to?  Windows 10 can shut down cores it deems not required while in use if your power plan allows for this.  First time I noticed was a long while ago on my FX 8350 - it was shutting down 2 of 8 cores.  Power plan to Performance...8 cores chugging away.

 

When playing BF1 what % of each core is being used up?  90+%

And my CPU is maxed out in BF1.

What resolution monitor?  What is your GPU % at that resolution?

In Battlefield this is what you can expect from your CPU. i5´s are having a bad time in Bf 1 and 5. About GTA... sorry, no idea that hasn´t been mentioned

so. looking at the userbenchmark, your cpu is doing very good when compared to others if you want the truth. now, the maxing out is because of the 4 cores limiting it.

if you want something to fix your problem, without having to upgrade everything, go to get a used i7 that is compatible on your board.

For any reason, MSI Afterburner wont show me the gpu utilization.

because thats using a gtx 1070. that gets more sheer power over your 480. also, his is slightly overclocked. and he has slightly faster ram too.

task manager. it will show you the utilization.

4.5 GHz is an overclock from the stock CPU speed in that video

 

When all cores are loaded, the 3570K's base frequency is 3.4 GHz at stock

If your CPU is pegged and your GPU is pegged - lower your settings.  If your CPU is pegged and your GPU is not, increasing resolution offloads work from the CPU to the GPU.  But if you are limited to the resolution you have it is what it is.  Mess with your settings and if you are going to compare your system to another - it has to be Apples to Apples. 

 

If your CPU is pegged and your GPU is pegged - that system is 2012 and quad cores these days just...don't cut the mustard.

i wouldn't trust the results in that video... Assassins creed Origins achieving 80 FPS with that CPU? yeah right..

can you confirm that RAM is running in Dual Channel? download CPU-Z and go to the Memory tab

So, without an upgrade to the CPU - can you simulate 2k resolution through the AMD settings?  Im at work and cant remember which selection that is in the AMD driver thingy - but see if offloading some of that work to the GPU frees up CPU.  If not its just a quad core struggling, and its going to struggle to build that FRAME TIME for the GPU to slam FRAMES into until you lower settings or upgrade.  I have similar chips (i5 3470 and FX 8350) and only do as well as I do in BF's (pre 5) because they utilize Crossfire.

Now its averaging 65% but no change to the CPU.

It tells me what I needed to know - Your CPU is the bottleneck (lightened load on CPU, gave it to GPU, GPU took what it could but the CPU still at 100%).  You either have to reduce graphic settings down to a level of performance you find acceptable, or upgrade.

 

Basically its this: Your CPU builds a 3 lbs bag to carry frames in every millisecond.  Your GPU can produce 5 lbs of frames every millisecond.  Its showing as many frames it can in that bag, but your CPU can only "hold" so much and your stretching it out at the seams, bag wont rip but it wont hold anymore either.  Hope that helps.
