What is the main thing you would do if someone handed you this PC build? Only rule is you cannot sell anything. I didn't include a mouse or keyboard as everyone has their own preference.

I am asking this to get an idea of what the point is of having something like this is?

id give my actual pc to someone who needs it, and taek that instead.

WOW! Once I got some storage in it or attached to it......That's kind of an easy answer. Video editing comes to mind easily. 3 gamers 1 computer also would work. Buy some storage or an external RAID Array and you could use it as a storage server. A massive web, file, or mail server also comes to mind OR my personal favorite, one hell of a Kicka$$ gaming computer once you add 2 Raid 0 SSDs and and two 6TB hard drives in Raid-1.

Personally I would look at video editing, RAID array and Gaming setup with a virtualized 3gamer/1box arrangement.

Eh. Would get 980 ti Instead, as well if that is your budget, a bigger SSD. And a different case. Maybe a Define R5 or h440.

You should absolutely get a 980 ti or two. Unless you want to be like Jayztwocents and get 3 titan's for no good reason (he probably didn't pay for them himself)

And unless you'll be running a ram drive or something like that, there's no reason to get 64 gigs of ram. 32 gigs is already overkill.

Finally, since you have such a large budget, I'd recommend a larger SSD. At least 500 gb.

i7 4790k | MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition | G.Skill Ripjaws X 16 GB | Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB | 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB | MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V | Fractal Design R4 | EVGA 650W

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

Remember to quote people if you want them to see your reply!

I dunno, I would get a 980 Ti like N_Bot said and 64 GB of RAM on a 6700k is pretty pointless. Honestly 16 GB is probably fine, but at least drop it to 32. Everything else seems fine though.

What the hell kind of dream $5500 PC has only 3 GPUs that are only 390Xs and only has a 6 core  xeon processor with 6TB of storage. I can get a $70 8 core xeon that would outperform that 6 core $550 one.

put in a 5960X on this thing and a fourth 980 ti and it would annihilate that build. wouldn't even be a competition.
