NH-D15, has the easiest installation method performs 1-2 degrees better then a drp4.

BUT the dpr4 is black so..... like thats automatically x10 better :D

Noctua also offered free mounting kits for upcoming sockets or just any you need, all you need is to prove your purchase.

They do have black fans and black tower covers, or white ones..red...etc

I may be wrong.

OK the Dark Rock got 6c better... for $80... really man?

Unlike intel which give trash heatsinks, amd is kind enough to give us the best stock cooler ever, why trash it?

I am simply looking for the cpu cooler that will keep my cpu, a Ryzen 7 2700, the coolest. It can be either an aio or air cooler and I just need it to be under $80. Aesthetics need to be presentable through a side panel. So no Noctua nh-15. It doesn’t need to be rgb or anything black is fine

NH-D14 it was the cooler the preceded the NH-D15, it is still a very awesome cooler.

The LC120E is $35 on Amazon, so how do you think this will compare to a 212 evo.

If LC120E has same performance as an ML120L, then it should outperform the 212 evo by a bit. However it will be the same performance as the Deepcool Gammaxx 400 at $25 in Amazon (some $20 elsewhere), plus the change of leakage.

I had a Arctic Freezer TR 33 (there is a non TR version) shortly before going to water.  It handled Threadripper fine I'm sure it wouldn't have a problem with Ryzen.  That's a $30 cooler.

Case and RAM are the phisically defining factors to choose an air cooler aside of what CPU it will be sat on.

Case and RAM please. If you could only use 120mm AIO, you might have even tougher luck with air coolers.

Coolermaster masterbox lite 5 rgb. G. Skill trident ram. But for air coolers there’s a lot of clearance for basically any cooler

Well, not really. It has 160mm clearance guaranteed. Above that would mean that CM is as pessimistic as Corsair in their specs. RAM is tad on taller side, and knowing that you can't really raise fan will make this bit difficult. So overall you aren't getting top of the line cooler in there, but you will get something that will cool it well. (Case supports 240mm AIO at front)

So Le Grande Macho RT is one to look at. It almost clears all RAM slots and is otherwise at spec. Featuring black top plate for looks. We have H5 Ultimate where you can move fan to other side to give more space. Dark Rock 4 (non-pro) is same thing in all black. Those are the top picks if you are against Noctua. D15S would also fit. There are others, ofc, but most dip down to budget range.

I am looking for a decent looking cooler with rgb that is under $60 and less than 160 mm tall but most should fit. Temps are most important to me

The DEEPCOOL Gammaxx GT RGB is my bet.

Yeah, the DeepCool Gammax GT rgb is also my recommendation. The H7 quad lumi is about the same, but it has ugly logo on it, instead of a cool symbol.

I only see your reply if you @ me.
