What happened to the font size and font face editor?

Is it removed by IPS?

It looks like your resolution. If there isn't enough horizontal room the page tends to format out certain edit items.

2560x1600 scaled to 1440x900 is what my Mac is running.

I have a 1080p resolution which is automatically scaled by Windows to 150%. I lowered it to 125% and there it is. Unfortunately I cannot live with 125% scaling because I'm nearsighted.

In macOS with the Google Drive page I can see 5 icons horizontally as well as full UI with my 1440x900 scaled resolution.

Windows 10 and the all knowing people over at Microsoft only let me view 4 with cramped UI on the same scaling settings.

You can temporarily (or for as long as needed) change browser scaling with Ctrl+ +/- or Ctrl+scroll. I have Windows at 150% and browser at 140%, and I change browser zoom when needed.

It's hard for me to read text in the forum after zooming out to 90% even at 150% Windows scaling even with my contact lenses. As I've said in a previous reply, I'm nearsighted.

That's why I said to use it temporarily. Just enough to make changes you need. I'm visually impaired and just hair away from using actual magnifying software to assist. I use that method to access code tags.

Maybe I just don't look in the right places, but I almost never see someone using font face and size in a way that is actually useful. I am open to feedback on why it's useful, but I can't think of any common, reasonable use cases.

When the editor doesn't have much space, it reduces the buttons available to avoid it filling up a third of the screen on mobile with unnecessary buttons. An overflow menu would be ideal but not possible.

  • 4 weeks later...

My reply text is in the screenshot.

(The sequence is start with the mobile screenshots top then bottom right, then go down on the desktop browser windows on the left.  Desktop display resolution & scaling is also shown.)
(Also if anyone complains about my phone notifications

Spoiler

(people have before), even if I clear them I'll still get anywhere from 30 to 200+ notifications an hour - and that's often *just* Discord.  The only time I clear them is when I reboot my phone (& I go as long as possible between reboots until something's broken & forces a reboot), and even then the bar may be filled in like 5 minutes or so.)
